Within my collage piece, I wish to convey the concept of nostalgia. I wish to do this by utilizing pop culture icons, references and mediums, specifically those related to the 1990s, and transforming them according to the notion of photomontage. This alteration represents the haze of memory and the border between the real and the un-real. Continuing in this individualistic state, is the merging of nonsensical images and text, which illustrates my personal belief that art should not have to be explained.
