I have been experimenting with a few ideas within my digital collage. The first is to act as a prequel to the narrative dream-state expressed in my manual collage. The idea is to create a "normal" scene using the same iconography present in the inital piece; a television screen, a picture frame, the central figure, etc. This would then be able to link the two images together in an additional narrative. The manual "dream" collage would be followed by the digital "reality" piece. This could be explained as an awakening.
Another idea was less conceptual and more technical, focussing mainly on aesthetics. I have considered splicing in images of fireworks and lights in the plain, white sections. This would be done to further the dream and to make the work more visually pleasing.
My third idea was to just mess with the entire piece, changing colours and adding effects. It will relate to a series of photographs I have been taking in my own time, in which I have altered the flash on my camera so that each photograph appears red. This simplifies the images to a purer form.
My final idea is my favourite, and presents what I consider to be the biggest challenge. I wish to alter the manual collage using only objects found within the original. This will play with repetition and scale, and was inspired by the Sonic Youth song, "Eric's Trip". The concept is very similiar to my inital idea, however, it follows a progression within the dreamscape, likened to an acid trip. By repeating images, it refers to echoes and hallucinations. The strangely displaced layout of the original collage was done to parallel the structure of human memory and recall within the subconcious mind.

Individually, my collages follow a non-linear narrative, however, when placed together can be read in chronological order.
