In regards to my narrative project, I wish to reference the work of Danielle Freakley or "The Quote Generator", as I feel there is a link between her project and the dialogue I will be using in my assignment. Freakley converses only in quotations throughout her daily life. She reads aloud the quote in its ordinary speaking voice, not in character. The quote is always followed by a spoken reference. All quotes must be referenced. She is currently in phase one; in which quotes are via commercial products whose authors are people the she does not know, for example, quotes from films, books, advertisements, lyrics, etc. The duration of phases one is one and a half years. Phases two is quotes from people she has interacted with directly; family, friends, lecturers, etc. This will be continued for one year. Phase three allows her to speak using original quotations from herself as first person in the past. The quotes must be at least one month or older. This will be conducted for six months.
.
The quotes chosen must be congruent with the Quote Generator’s genuine personal tastes, and feelings. The database is updated on an ongoing basis. The Quote Generator does not choose phrases at random, and responds to her context like any regular human being in conversation.

"The Quote Generator pays homage to the people who have gone before and said it the way it wishes it could. The Quote Generator is a verbal mimicry product of it’s people and culture. The Quote Generator lets their hot and cold and banal shit out of its mouth. The Quote Generator is absorption of unoriginality. The Quote Generator is a regurgitation library to live by. The Quote Generator is a semiotic experiment and a performance art project. Language is already stolen, we already quote all the time. The Quote Generator is a concentrated overdramatised version of a very natural process of repetition and assimilating information. The Quote Generator steals some of the best and worst, offensive, polite, prosaic, practical and pointless lines – whatever it deems worthy to steal for use of its own voice. The Quote Generator reads, and researches as it speaks. The Quote Generator is both the reader and composer/editor. The Quote Generator is not an actor spouting lines on a stage. The Quote Generator assimilates others lines into everyday social life. The Quote Generator is another language: the language of the pseudo. The Quote Generator pseudo speaks through social life. The Quote Generator was cultivated from the revulsion of small talk = the predetermined entrĂ©es in conversation. The Quote Generator attempts to resolve/pervert those insecure, anxious, not knowing what to say moments, perhaps feeling as though you’re not smart enough, or funny enough or enough enough in conversation. The Quote Generator engages with the points in your life where you have a strange feeling as though you are in a B grade film. The Quote Generator resembles a Borg like creature, it assimilates and it is a collective voice. The Quote Generator is a response to our heavily parasitic nature towards our influences, conscious or unconscious. The Quote Generator reminds you of the time you saw them speak, they had everyone in stitches with laughter but when you said the exact same phrase, no one laughed. The Quote Generator is an artificial intelligence. The Quote Generator asks you what percentage of your speech is habit, vomit and spiel. The Quote Generator is vomit until you are what you eat, the books you read, the music you listen to, the films you watch, the people you talk to."
