My boyfriend (and co-star of my film) and I spent five hours shooting series of photographs for my project. We decided on plain black longsleeved clothing to emphasize the white masks and props. After viewing the photographs consecutively in iPhoto, I have a basic idea of how the film will look as it animated them slightly. I also enjoyed how the test photographs and the real ones merged together when I was flipping through them, and I may make two videos; one edited as I originally intended, and one with every picture in together as I feel that this would mirror the jerky, broken movements of stop motion, and it would be an interesting way of using repetition without using the same footage.
.
I have also been thinking about music for the piece. At the moment I am considering "The Pink Room" by Angelo Badalamenti, from the David Lynch film "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me" (1992). Also "David Bowie I Love You (Since I Was Six) by the Brian Jonestown Massacre, "2:45AM" by Elliott Smith, or a cover version of Visage's "Fade to Grey" by Nouvelle Vague.
