I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to acquire a Nixon mask for use in my video, as the online stores I searched were out of stock. This was perhaps a blessing in disguise, as after further consideration, the presence of a Nixon mask may appear arcane on the surface, and may distract from what the work is about. After trying a number of stores around the city, I have settled for a plain white expressionless mask, which will tie in with the white cardboard props. Additionally, it links with my concept in that it offers no identity, therefore emphasizing the fact that everything good as already been said and that we are just regurgitating ideas.

Today I designed the letters for the cardboard speech bubbles. I chose my favourite font, Helvetica as it is clear and generic, and will thus allow a focus on the words. I placed a number of individual letters in Photoshop on a new document that was 4x6 inches, and printed them at a photo developing store (my friend gives me free prints). This was done so that they were of good quality, featured rich blacks, and were also of adequate thickness. Here is an example of one of the twenty-five I created.
